The community earns its living through the tourists visiting the Gila River so the news reports based on the number of tourists every year and the earning of revenue through tourism are published in the local as well as national news papers. These reports are accessed by the tourists and also increase the number of potential tourists in the years to come. But the news reports of missing people are a hurdle in attracting more tourists to the Gila River.
